What inspired you to launch your own website?
Just moved to Arizona, starting the school here
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
In 1994, a company website for my software development organization.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I feel the name describes the school
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Specific courses are offered. This is a non-profit organization whose sole function is to make the principles of the subject available to as wide an audience as possible.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Develop a successful, thriving school to serve the community
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Not sure how to answer this. I only invest my time, and do not make any money (intentionally!)
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
More classes to offer.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Yes
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None really. I have experience in the computer field as well as in practical philosophy
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting going! Making contact with interested potential students.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Word of mouth. Flyers. Search engines
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Very much in line
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Just started, no plans to stop.
What about Meditation?
The first two years of classes are introductory and present the basic principles and techniques of practical philosophy in daily life. After this preparation, meditation is offered to students.
