Or so Mayans have told us. One thing that is probably most intriguing about the Mayan calendar is its prediction of the end of the world. It is so precise that one would already wonder if its true. It's December 21, 2012.

Bull. the bible code said that the world would end in 2006, but we're still here aren't we? believing in Jesus or any other heavenly crap won't change things.... just goes to show how hypocritical people can be, believing when they think they're damned to hell. no god can save anyone when the individual's ed up inside. One cannot stop the inevitable,..as it is one of the bad yugas i beleive as per the hindu mythology,so if it has to happen it should happen as soon as possible

Technically speaking, I think the MAX DATE VALUE for Mayas was 2012, Dec 21; one has to setup a limit system for the daily calculations to go on. Like in most programming languages there is a maximum value for all type of variables, if one has to program in that particular language, they have to follow the norms. So for all indeterministic calculations, there must be a range of the parameter (the lowest and the highest) values. And practically speaking, other than an asteroid collision (if the rock is not very big that's rip apart the planet in fragments), I dont see how the world would end at one shot.

it is only a myth, mayans could not calculte date after 2012, because as this century begins it has date from 01.01.2000, and since then the dates were matching the century also like, 01.01.01,..,.,and 02.02.02,.,.every year and kept on,..,till.,.,.,10.10.10.,.,.,.,and till 12.12.2012,.,.,.,.it is only,..,like this,.,.but we cannot have date of,,.,.13.13.2013,.,.because there is no month,..,like 13,..,so it will be,.,.13.01.13.,,means 13th january, 2013.,..but cannot go till,.,.,.13.13.2013,.,.cause 13th month is not defined, so mayans could not define something they said world is over, so dont,.,.worry just keep on enjoying life like you do everyday.

I think its real that its goint to end i mean it wont but the world mite change and we mite have powers and we can fly..
