Maybe you're just going to tell me that I'm reading too much of Dan Brown's works, but I'm pretty sure that you are aware about Mary Magdalene and her supposed relationship with Jesus Christ.
According to Dan Brown's novel, The Da Vinci Code, Mary Magdalene had this secret relationship with Jesus Christ. That wasn't just an ordinary romantic relationship. According to the novel, the two actually became spouses, with Magdalene even rearing Jesus Christ's daughter.
Actually, this theory is not really exclusive to Dan Brown's novel. It had its inspiration from previous literary works that also held the same theory. This theory arises from the discovery of the Gnostic gospels, which were left out in the final publication of the Bible. The Gnostic gospels state that Mary Magdalene is loved more by the Lord than any of the disciples. In fact, some of the gospels even state that there were times when Jesus Christ himself kissed Magdalene.
The apologists were more than willing to defend the traditional teachings. According to them, the written information about Christ were so insufficient to give actual details about his sexuality. Furthermore, certain apologists even said that it was already customary during the time to kiss one's followers or brother/sisters. Hence, according to them, it's already probable that there weren't any romantic involvement between the two. Proponents of the marriage, meanwhile, say that it is unthinkable for a young Jew to go unmarried and teach as a rabbi.
Dan Brown's book further explains the different reasons why the two may have been married. It also detailed out the supposed conspiracy that the Church organized in order to hide this fact. The Da Vinci code asserts that evidences have been left out by a secret society called the Priory of Sion, which has members of extreme prestige, such as Leonardo da Vinci.
Right now, this theory of marriage between Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene is viewed to be one of those conspiracy theories that should not be believe in. However, only time can really tell if there's any credibility in these assumptions.
True or not is not the issue. What you believe in is what matters. If one can show me his own bible to prove that, it might interest me.
For now The BIBLE of Gods is thick and worth time.
I'd stay with Him
and Jesus first because what they're telling me heals, protects, blesses and restores me.
