Apocalypse. The end of the world. A biblical flood. Ascension to another dimension.
All this is supposed to happen in 2012. You ask: who says so? Some crazy self-made prophets? Or some "mediums" and seers?
No actually, this prophesy has been made in ancient scripts and cultures. Scientists and Metaphysics also have their own theories. Check out sources of the catastrophe theory:
The Bible:
You've probably heard of the "bible code". This is a code that has recently been discovered. It consists of coded words that describe many big events that have happened in the world, with the exact dates. And it has the date of 21. December 2012 down as an Apocalypse.
The Mayan Calendar:
The ancient Mayas of Central America calculated this exact date as the end of time. They had their own count of time based on world cycles. It was a very sophisticated system, which started 3114 B.C. On Dec. 21, 2012 this calendar ends. It simply stops, and there is no more time count after that. Just NOTHING.
Reversal of the magnetic poles:
Every hundreds of millenia the magnetic poles N and S reverse. It's a natural phenomena. When this happens, the earth goes haywire. There are continent shifts, land submerges into the ocean, other lands come up. Heavy storms (100x a hurricane), volcanic eruptions, huge tsunamis. So, very little chance of survival for anyone. You probably would only survive on the highest mountains, deep in a cave, with supplies for 3 years.
Ascension theory:
Mankind is on the brink of a spiritual evolution. That is, from the normal living thinking man, homo sapiens sapiens in this normal (3rd) dimension we are evolving to homo spiritualis. This new man will live in the next dimension, that is go up or ascend. There, you are not slave to your limited body and mind. You can shape reality with your thoughts.
Those who are spiritually highly developed will make it to this dimension on Dec 21, 2012. It will be a good, beautiful world. The rest will stay here and suffer the calamities.
So start meditating! Start searching! Think about if there is more that shopping, eating and getting drunk. And maybe you'll survive Dec. 21, 2012!
