Name of your website? The Meditation Zone Your name? Terri Greer Your Location (city, etc) Virginia Beach What is the purpose of your website? Help People heal themselves through Reiki & Chakra meditations. What inspired you to launch your own website? I have meditated for over 20 years and am a trained Reiki second degree master and I wanted to help others. When did you launch your first website, and what was it? We launched our website in August of 2007 for meditation products. How did you decide on a name for your website? We brainstormed with other meditators. What makes it different from other, similar offerings? We meditate and only offer products we ourselves have tried and found to be helpful in enhancing meditation, relaxation and healing. What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?) To carry even more meditation products and product lines. How does your investment of time and money balance against your success? Since our website was only launced 2 months ago, it is still in the begining stages and it is too difficult to foretell its level of success. If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site? If we had an unlimited budget we would offer a library of free information on meditation in addition to the product lines we currently offer. If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand? We have set up shipping account with major distributors such as Fedex and UPS and we anticipate handling our growth and providing our customers with quick fulfillment of their orders. What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with? Shipping our products internationally was more difficult than we anticipated because of security regulations after 9/11. Programming our websites to accomadate international shipping was much more involved than we thought it would be. What has been your biggest challenge? The biggest challenge as I have said has been setting up our shipping channels for international shipment. What method has been most successful for promoting your website? Submitting our website to the yahoo directory has been the most successful promotion of our website. How has running your website differed from your expectations? Promoting our website has proved to be very different than I expected. How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity? We have been running our website for 2 months. Traffic has been gaining steadily and I only see steady gains in traffic, income and popularity in our future. What differentiates your site from other sites that offer meditation products? We have personally used the products we offer, and we place customer service as our number one priority. We quickly fill orders and ship promptly. We guarantee our products against defects.
