Do you believe in aliens? This might be the first question asked in any article talking about aliens, which are defined to be any kind of life that did not originate from our home planet. The presuppositions about these supposed mysterious beings remain theoretical and still subject to further debate and interrogation.
Interestingly, however, the knowledge base surrounding this topic is so huge that you would think that there is already a factual basis about it. If these are just products of people's imaginations is something that I do now know, but I do know that we all know about the supposed unidentified flying object (UFO) sightings that have dotted our history. These UFOs are supposed to be connected with alien spacecraft, which has been the subject of much of popular culture.
I have personally read some of these stories and found them interesting. What was probably the most interesting to me is the theory of exogenesis. According to this theory, seeds of life have already been existing all throughout the universe and that life on Earth originated from it. It also continues to say that these seeds of life may then continue to spread themselves in other habitable bodies. Of course, Church conservatives were quick to counter this with Biblical verses, saying that there is no life in other planets and the seeds of life were certainly planted on Earth by the Christian God.
On the other hand, other theories suggest that aliens will soon invade our planet because of our supposed inferior technology. This has been the subject of many doomsday movies already that "alien invasion" has already become a popular term.
Personally, I have this belief that the universe is too vast for human beings to study fully right at this moment. I think that it would be too arrogant to assume something about the universe when we ourselves don't know anything. The absence of evidence does not mean the absence of aliens, anyway. I don't know if they are true, but with an accepting mind, this should not be an issue.
